EU Commission: study on the standardization of the national laws against violence

The European Commission, in the framework of the specific Programme DAPHNE III, has published a Feasibility study to assess the possibilities, opportunities and needs to standardise national legislation on violence against women, violence against children and sexual orientation violence.

The study concerns with 3 types of violence:

  • Violence against women;
  • Violence against children;
  • Sexual orientation violence.

and focuses on the following aspects:

  • the mapping of relevant legislation in EU Countries;
  • comparative analysis;
  • a set of minimum standards;
  • a model of factors aff ecting perpetration;
  • a set of recommendations.
